Pictures taken on a 2 week automobile trip through Scotland.  We flew to London, took the train to Edinburgh and picked up our rental car at the train station  there.

Our local photo shop displayed a poster-sized version of this Eilean Donan photo for a long time. The photo was also entered in a contest.

Raasay from the Isle of Skye

This photo of Raasay ended up having an effect much like a Marcus Uzilevsky seriograph.  It wasn't planned that way, the wind on the water created the effect.  The photo was shot with an SLR camera with 35 mm film.  A digital camera probably would have created a "herringbone" effect and ruined the picture.

The Castle (postcard)

Military tattoo at the castle.  Held each August, the pageant portrays the military history of Scotland from the earliest time until the present.  What a GREAT evening!

"Moonlight over Loch Gilp".  This wasn't just a camera effect.  The lighting looked just as you see it here.  What an evening!!

Loch Lomond.  Picture taken while on a boat cruising on the loch.

Car on ferry to mainland from the Isle of Skye.  There is now a bridge at one point so you no longer have to take the ferry if you don't want to.

MIDGES!!  Call them midges or "no seeums" or what ever you like.  When they bite--you itch!!
