This was our first trip to Hawaii and we only spent 3 days here.  Probably not enough to form a reasoned opinion.  We need to go back and experience some more of this island.  I know you are not supposed to say negative things about any place you travel to, but I would say that Oahu is our least favorite of the Hawaiian islands.  Honolulu is to big and too busy for me.  Beaches like Waikiki are too crowded and there are just too many people.  I'm not saying Oahu is bad, just that we like the other islands better.  BUT, if you like the hustle and bustle this may be the island for you.

Arizona Memorial:  The memorial was closed for some renovation when we were there.  We could not go on the memorial but the tour boat took us close so we could get as good a view as possible.

Waimea Falls Park:  We really like this scene of the water flowing down through a tunnel of trees.

Hanaumabay:  You had to walk down a fairly steep paved road to get to the bay.  There were lots of people including fairly small children swimming and snorkeling.  The water was shallow and there were LOTS of fish.  Notice the fish swimming around the person in the middle of the 2nd photograph.  The 3rd photograph is that of a woman who had been visiting her daughter in Tasmania and had stopped in Hawaii on the way home.  She wanted to show us how easily the fish came if you held out a little bit of food.  CLICK FOR BIGGER PICTURES

Cliff Diver: - Look closely at the top center of the photograph on the left and then at the enlargement on the right. He is diving HEADFIRST and BACKWARDS!!!
