This April trip to Kauai was a nice Spring break. We stayed on the south side of the island in Poipu. We had been to Oahu earlier where the towel boy at the pool in Diamond Head said the cinnamon rolls at the shopping area near Kiahuna Plantation were the best. HE WAS RIGHT! I would make a short trip many mornings and then have the rolls and coffee out on the lanai.
Tunnel of trees (Before Hurricane Iniki). Click on the picture above for a larger version.
Waimea Canyon: Called "The Grand Canyon of Hawaii", Waimea Canyon. I think that is a bit of an overstatement. Still it is pretty spectacular IF you can ever get a clear day to see it. We drove there 3 days in a row until we had a patch of sunlight so we could take these pictures. It could be clear below and rainy at the canyon.
Kilauea Lighthouse: Rainy, but it still made for an interesting photograph.
Ocean view from our lanai (balcony). We would eat many of our meals on the lanai and just stare and stare at this view.

Napali Coast: This picture is a post card. The day we went sailing up the coast on a 110 foot ship, the sea was high enough that many people were not feeling well. The ship moved enough that I would feel ill when looking through the camera. WE DIDN'T TAKE ONE PICTURE. I did do some snorkeling on the way though.
