Welcome to Jon's travel page.

This travel site has samples from some of our trips.  There is no particular date or time sequence.  Some locations have been visited many times over the years and the pictures for that location may be an amalgam of those trips.

On many trips we take 400+ photographs (both digital and film) as well as doing some digital video recording.  On one trip we took over 1,400 pictures. And yes, we also go to places where we never take a single photo.  Sometimes you just need to sit and take it all in.  In recent years we seem to select a single location and spend more time in each village or city.

A few pictures are from post cards or travel brochures if that picture was better than ours or was taken from a vantage point we could not get ourselves.  Most of the photographs are our original work.  Some have been entered in photography contests (none have won).
