Our morning activity, for all travelers, includes a trip to Munkholmen, a small island in Trondheimfjord. Munkholmen (monk’s island).  In the afternoon we attend the National Jubileum Service at Nidaros Cathedral. The King and the Queen attend the service and we are just four rows away as they enter the cathedral. Later we have coffee and cake in the square outside the cathedral.  Our tent is next to that used by the King and Queen.

We had a special tour of Nidaros Cathedral for Trønderlag of America by a Norwegian archaeologist and researcher. After the tour we had the privilege of hearing the head organist for the cathedral playing the restored Steinmeyer organ  just for us. Representatives from the cathedral meet us and gave us special recognition for the fund raising members of Trønderlag of America had done for the restoration of the organ. We donated 15.000 NOK (about $2,600).  For lunch we went to Tyholttårnet, a tower with a rotating restaurant with very good view of Trondheim and the Trondheim Fjord.

After free time in Røros to explore more on our own we travel to the Væktarstugu Hotel where the owner gave us a presentation of a small exibition featuring the famous Norwegian adventurer and scientist Thor Heyerdahl who wrote some of his famous books at this hotel. Lunch.  After Væktarstugu  we stop at Granby Gård in Selbu, an impressive, private owned emigration center, featuring the emigration from Selbu to America, and about the emigration from Norway in general. We were given a presentation from the owners. Coffee and cinnamon rolls were served and were able to purchase Norwegian items from a local artist and from Selbu Hisfliden. After Granby Gård we travel to our final hotel in Stjørdal. Some members make one final visit to Værnes church.  Built around the year 1,100.  At the time of its construction the Norwegian Viking era was still in full bloom.  Some say the church is the oldest building in Norway still in active use.

"AUDIO/VIDEO" (A few clips of sights and sounds)
This could take up too much room for our project but maybe we can have a clip or two.
One includes an audio clip of us singing in an inner chamber at Munkholmen.  I haven't figured out how to make Onedrive play the audio clip directly.  Currently it must be downloaded and then played from your PC.

Videos load enough into a buffer to be able to play and then start.

Speed is tied to your Internet connection.
